Stainless Steel U- Bolts

All of these U- Bolts are
solid stainless steel-- polished.. Not Plated.. That does make them look good, but isn't the reason for it.. It is common to use these right next to the BP ejection charge on the avionics bay bulkhead.. What better material to bear that corrosive environment ? |

U- Bolts are great for spreading the force of tension out..
These U- Bolts are all 1/4" X 20... They are heavy weight,, have a top quality stainless backer plate,, and have quite a bit of heft and a really solid feel to them..
I use these U-Bolts in my own rockets with small steel brackets
and 1/4" X 20 stainless rod couplings to attach my sled
to the threaded rod running through the avionics bay..
This is much stronger then epoxying a cardboard ignitor tube to the sled..
I've included some pictures of the sled from my last build

you get an idea of the size of the U- Bolt relative to the bulkhead--
The Ex Small U- Bolt is mounted on a 54 mm bulkhead..
The Small U- Bolt is mounted on a 54 mm bulkhead..
The Medium U- Bolt is mounted on a 2.6" bulkhead..
The Large U- Bolt is mounted on a 3" bulkhead..
The Ex Large U- Bolt is mounted on a 4" bulkhead..
