Kevlar is a material also known by the name Aramid...
It is pound for pound stronger than steel.
It is also quite heat / fire resistant.
Because of these properties it is a superb choice for us to use
for our recovery harnesses in High Power rocketry.
Nylon is also a popular material for use as recovery harnesses for High Power rockets.
